Ol Donyo el Orok Baboon Project
This project aims to study the baboon troops living on the mountain Ol Donyo el Orok.
Traditionally people in this area has lived in more or less harmony with the wildlife. Today people are shifting from cattle keeping to agriculture and by doing so there is an upcoming conflict between wildlife and humans.
This project aims to study how the rich wildlife in the area can survive when the pressure on land and environment increase due to extensive farming. The baboon troop along the Enkokidongoi river will be our first target in this study.
